There were a lot of these in the woods near the lake...I took several pics and this is the only one that is half decent. Does anyone know what it is? I would love to go back and see how they develop.
Edited to add that John has identified this as Pussytoes...so thankful to him. I had no idea.

I have no idea what it is, but I wish you could go back and take more pictures. I love watching things grow.
I think it's called "Pussytoes" and is grown on rock gardens over here, but as you say it's in an early stage.
