Smile for the camera!

I always seem to get a few good pics anytime we go this swamp area.

This is when we were there two weeks ago.  As you can see,  it is covered by duckweed.  A guy came by on a gator type vehicle.  I don't know what the real name is.  Our neighbor calls them a side by side 4-wheeler.  He grew up in the area and said the swamp extends about two miles in each direction and said he used to wade it from the road to the end as a kid.

So this green scum is Duckweed? We have it on some ponds here, and I had thought it is maybe algae or something. Yet again you have worked a miracle and gotten another Dragonfly to pose prettily for you!!

O.K., do you carry around Draginfly bait or something???

Looks like the dragonfly is grinning from side to side. That is a big lake.

It's hard to see when they smile--- but they always seem friendly.

Not sure if he's smiling or pulling a funny face, but a lovely portrait anyway.

I'm not sure I'd wade thru that! Love the D-fly.

That dragonfly does look like it's smiling at you. The swamp is certainly a bright color covered with that duckweed. Wading the swamp sounds like something a boy would enjoy doing...lol

Love the beautiful dragon fly pic. When I would see swap land like that when I was a kid I always though it was quicksand - for some reason I had a huge childhood fear of quicksand lol. Have a great weekend Rose :)

Interesting how he was able to do that in this uncertain swamp! Nice shots

I never knew the name of the green stuff. Nice name but I wouldn't wade in it. Cool shots.

Great shot of the dragonfly and I learned something new about the pond. I look forward to seeing your sewing project from this weekend.

it IS nice when you can get a dragonfly directly facing the camera, they are generally so timid.

Beautiful macro image of the dragonfly. Wonderful color and detail. We have ponds here that are covered with the duckweed. I feel sorry for the water fowl that have to swim in it.
