I think they are planning on what to do next. I love this shot Rose.
I agree with Judy. I believe they would sit in that chair to decide what to do next. By the looks of it they have LOTS to do.
I hope you're right, but being something of a cynic, I think it is where it is because Mrs. told Mr. to get rid of that old chair 'cause she was going to redecorate!
Maybe they just enjoy watching the Forsythia.... ha ha

Judy and Linda got it right - I think it looks like lots to do. Maybe they should even tear it down and start over.
Watching the forsythia is good too since it doesn't stay around long.
The chair looks as if people using it have been leaning back. I think they are day-dreaming about how things will look once they are finished with their project.
I think a portly person sat here so that the back legs sank into the grass giving the chair a leaning back feel...also good for contemplating what to do next...perhaps nothing, but enjoying the chair! :-)
