Its that time of the week....time to show a barn or barns as the case may be...
so I am choosing this one that we got some where south and east of Terre Haute.
It has been a fine barn in its day. You can find more barns at Tricia's Barn Charm Meme.

This was the best shot I could get, with where the barn was situated. We did stop....I just had to have a shot of some kind. For some reason this really appealed to me.
I posted a different picture of this truck here....
wouldn't you love to see this old truck restored?t
I am showing a couple of photos I have posted before...someone had a photo last week of cows behind a fence and it reminded me of the one below. In looking for it, I came across the one above, so thought I would just post it as well.
Any chance I have had to take close-ups of leaves they are always so beaten up I never show them.
I am going ahead with these...with rain coming in tonight, they may be the last I photograph this year.
I posted a barn yesterday from our round about way of going to the Goose Pond area here in Indiana...well here is another from that drive. We were on our way home, when we spotted this one...it was hit the brakes and back up time.
I like this one so much...because it is aged I suppose. It is one that I would love to convert to a house if it were mine.
I was so happy that it was where I could take my time and snap a few different views. I don't get to do that near as much as I would like.
Even though I think the vine is pretty growing up the wall, if it were mine, it would not be there. I would have it pulled down too quick to talk about.
The roof needs a little bit of love...I hope it gets it because this is a beautiful barn in my opinion.
I have so many barns....I keep thinking about putting them all up on a barns only blog...but I do well to keep this and Pics and Pieces running. So occasionally, I show barns more than once a week. We found this one just last week in our rambling drive to Goose Pond area.
I am not sure how much longer this barn will be standing...and I would love to know what has happened to all the wood that is gone.
I could not help but wonder if it was taken to make picture frames....
I really hate seeing barns fall apart...and kind of love them all the more when their life is ebbing away.
This was taken just a few weeks ago as I left the strip pits...the silhouette is State Line Christian Church.
Believe it or not, this is only about the second or third time I have photographed thistle this year, and for sure the only time I have gotten decent shots.
Today I am going to give you three different Friday's Fence. First of all, I always love looking down a fence row. One out in the country is my fence of choice....
but who can resist this one with that glorious tree in front of it?
And I am including this just because I think that tree is glorious...just something about it. Oh, and it does have a fence in front of it.
We saw these a while back on a drive...again the sun was not right for me to get the shot I wanted. But using photoshop, this one turned out not so bad.
I was going to save the above for Friday Fences...but want to go ahead and put it here because it it is the fence in front of the barn pictured here.
And I love looking across fields and seeing all the color...
I think fall has always been my favorite time of year, but even more so since I am older.
These are barns taken on a drive just a bit back....
I thought I might as well post them together since they were taken the same day.
Actually, they were taken in the same general area....
have you noticed that they all have something in common?
I am joining Tricia's Barn Charm Meme....hope you have a chance to join.
I just have to show this tree...we saw it about ten days ago on a little drive we took.
Isn't it wonderful in all its glory?
I am linking this to the Friday's Fences meme at Life According to Jan and Jer...it is not the photo I planned to use but having trouble finding the one I had in mind. I hope if you have one with a fence in, that you will join the fun.
A little bit of wear just seems to add to the charm.
This is from Illinois country...
it is one we passed on a recent rambling drive.
Does anyone know approximately what one of these big bales of hay weighs? I found varying answers when I looked.
I couldn't resist some sunset shots the other night at the strip pits. Believe it or not, i think this one is even better if you click to enlarge it. You can see better the sun hitting the side of the silo.
Jan 'n Jer are starting a meme called Friday's Fences....I plan to link this to it if I can remember. Hope you have a fence to join the fun.
