from the archives for Friday's fences...

Even though it is cold and we are getting a bit of snow, I don't think we will come close to getting this much...
And I have probably shown these last year when I first took them, but still like and enjoy seeing them. Though they were both good for Friday's fences.

Living in an area where snow is an anomaly, I'm always fascinated by the white, fluffy stuff.

These fences are certainly weighed down with the snow! And they seem to be in a process of re-creating their beauty! Great photos!

I love it, the old fashioned fence and the pretty way the snow is laying on it. All is very quiet!

Oh, those are pretty. What beautiful Christmas cards they would make.

Well, I didn't see them last year. They are postcard pretty.

Lovely, lovely photos. I'd come back to them too if had shot these. What great tonal quality you've achieved. I think they'd be a perfect subject for simple pen and ink drawings with just a tiny bit of watercolor wash for the foliage on the trees.

Love that first one Rose! It really reminds me of growing up when we had much bigger snows. It snowed this evening but not anywhere near what was predicted.

Just gorgeous winter photos... Makes me yearn for the coziness of winter... Except I'm stuck in the heat of summer!

I always like the tracks through the snow. In this case the tracks make a fine lead in for the great looking fence. The second picture has a very interesting corner in the right side of the shot. Nice post! Have a great weekend.

Looking at your photos make me inspired to go out and take photos. We have a snow now but not that much. Gonna wait for another 3 hours to at least make it about 2 inches of snow ^_^ Thanks for sharing and the visit your photos is an inspiration! Happy weekend!

I hope you don't get that much snow this year either... but glad you had these fence shots in your archives. My favorite kind... (maybe... there are so many fascinating fences... but I am partial to natural wood...) :-)

Picture perfect winter scenes! The second one reminds me of a Currier & Ives painting.
