Coot


 This photo is heavily cropped.  A few coots seem to return to the strip mining area year after year.  Or maybe they stay there at some of the deeper ponds.

just came from a post that a photo of rubber boots flipped me back to daddy wearing his, now the word Coot flipped me back to him again. we called him the old goat or the old coot
