Barn Charm

When we were out on our last little drive, the above is what came into view....oh, and BTW, it is the farm where the horse was at in this post.
I was impressed with the design of the cupola, even if the barn does need a lot of TLC.
We eased pm along and I stopped to take a couple photos that included the pond and one of the horses.
Notice the dog laying in the grass near the corner of the white building...although I was stopping for the view of the barn, I liked that he was laying there.
As always, you can go to the Barn Charm Meme at Bluff Area Daily to join or to see more barns.

that cupola is like a tiny little granery building perched on top. i love this! only wish the barn would get some tender loving repair!

Think how nice it would look if somebody gave it some care and attention.

Love that cupola. And the windows look like they were nice, too. But that setting.... gorgeous!

That is a very unique cupola! I love the shot with the pond and the reflection of the barn!

In its prime this would have been a very unique looking barn. It has such great detail in the windows and the cupola!
Love the shot with it reflected in the pond!

I do love that little thing on the roof, but my favorite is the beautiful calm reflection!

Wonderful series of shots! I really like this barn. It has a lot of great design elements and a very unusual cupola.

WoW! Now that's my favorite kind of barn... I love this! The barn, cupola, horse, pond, reflection, no windows, sleeping dog (hopefully just sleeping), etc... It's beautiful, Rose, one of your best, yet! =)

Your idea for the collage is exactly what I was thinking today. I like the idea of having the pics separated & framed individually by the matte, but still on the same layout... that way it isn't so 'busy', ya know. I'd love to do a canvas, but that's just too pricey! Depending on cost, too, I could have them printed on some kind of old time-y paper then put in the matte frame, but that's just a thought... I'm thinking out loud! LoL! =)

Thanks so much for your help, very very very much appreciated! =)

What a great old barn! I love the old weathered ones, and this one is so full of charm. The cupola is very cool and the dog adds a great touch. Nice shots!

You found a fine, old barn to post. It is in such sad shape, but it has very interesting colors on the roof.
And as you noted the cupola design is very different.
Nice one.

I love that top photo Rose...and I can't say I've ever seen a cupola quite like that one...It's neat.

I bet this barn was picturesque when it was young. It still has lots of charm now.

The cupola on this barn is unique and interesting. It's too bad that this barn has fallen into such disrepair, but it is charming nevertheless.

What a beautiful old structure this is Rose, and your photographs of it are wonderful. I just love that little cupola. The shape is wonderfully unusual.

What a marvelous old barn. Can you imagine it new with everything actively going on inside of it. What a beauty

I like the top, too! Even falling down it looks great by that little pond.

That is such an unusual cupola! It's a shame the barn is in such bad shape, but the upper roof seems to be holding it's own.

What a wonderful old barn. The shot with its reflection in the pond iris especially pretty. Even if the owners have allowed Tito rundown, the animals appear very happy. Lovely captures. Genie

Those are very nice. I can't pick a favorite but it's between the 1st and 3rd photos. That reflection is just perfect but I also really like the fence in the foreground.
